We use the AJ Bell Investcentre for holding and managing investments. Their platform charges are competitive and transparent. For example, trading charges are just £3.95 per trade, significantly lower than traditional commission-based charges.

No minimum investment requirement

At Hamilton, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality financial advice, regardless of their financial standing. That's why we have no minimum investment requirement. Our mission is to provide personalised, independent advice to all, ensuring everyone can start their financial journey with confidence.

VAT

As an advisory firm - as opposed to a Discretionary firn - dealing primarily in retail products like investment trusts and unit trusts, we are exempt from charging VAT on our services.

Examples of fees including Platform charges:
  • A portfolio worth £25,000 would cost £250 per annum, no VAT.

  • A portfolio worth £50,000 would cost £500 per annum, no VAT.

  • A portfolio worth £250,000 would cost £2,500 per annum, no VAT.

  • A portfolio worth £600,000 would cost £5,975 per annum, no VAT.

  • A portfolio worth £1 million would cost £9,875 per annum, no VAT .

  • A portfolio worth £1.5 million would cost £14,125 per annum, no VAT.

Note (1) Hamilton AMC is paid to Hamilton by AJBell on behalf of clients (2) As an investor in "Pooled" funds you understand that the funds themselves suffer their own charges - typically around 1%. We are obliged by the FCA to disclose these charges once a year. These charges are "internal" charges to the fund. Whilst these costs  - on top of our own fees - may seem chunky you should know that these "internal" fees have already been priced into funds income and total return yields - accordingly they should not be aggregated with our own charges - this would give an altogether misleading picture.
