Hamilton in tie-up with wealth manager

Andrew Hamilton, founder of Edinburgh wealth manager Hamilton Financial, has forged an informal partnership with Westminster-based investment and wealth planning firm Thomson Tyndall.

The two companies will continue to operate independently but will offer shared services across their client portfolio.

Mr Hamilton said: “We have been looking for an association with another firm for the last three years.

“To have the endorsement of Thomson Tyndall’s quality is fantastic. It has been difficult to find another firm whose values are similar to our own, but the wait has been worth it and we are absolutely thrilled.”

Jamie Fergusson, of Thomson Tyndall, was also quick to underline the importance of the geographic relationship of the two companies.

He said: “We may operate out of cities at the opposite end of the United Kingdom, but our core values are the same – this is a very positive step for both companies, their staff and their customers.”

Before setting up Hamilton Financial, Mr Hamilton (pictured) operated as Andrew Hamilton & Co, a firm of chartered accountants which was snapped up by its management four years ago.
