Financial Administrator


4 days a week (Monday-Thursday)

Hamilton Financial (Scotland) Ltd is looking for an experienced financial administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with exceptional administration skills & experience. In addition to completing office administration tasks, you will be working with clients on a day-to-day basis, assisting and supporting them with confidential matters regarding investments, pensions, protection, and correspondence.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provision of administrative support
  • Keep filing systems and client records up to date
  • Draft correspondence using office templates to support advisers.
  • Preparation of new client forms and requesting anti-money laundering documents
  • Preparation of client meetings (meeting papers and tea/coffee)
  • Check client cash balances
  • Place trades
  • Prepare fee notes
  • Order stationery
  • Answer the telephone. You will be the first point of contact
  • Take post to the post office

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • Experience of financial administration
  • Excellent attention to detail & able to follow defined processes & procedures
  • Good communication skills: written and oral
  • Keenness and enthusiasm to deliver high quality personal service and work as a team
  • Good IT skills, including Office365 (in particular Excel)
  • Experience of using investment platforms e.g. AJ Bell Investcentre would be beneficial
  • A can-do attitude, a happy disposition & a willingness to learn


  • 4 days a week – Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm
  • Attractive salary – up to £25,000 per annum dependant on experience
  • Holiday – 20 days per annum
  • Pension (5% employer – 3% employee) & Income Protection Insurance
